Social Companionship & Encouragement

Social companionship to encourage joy & movement for your loved one.

Making your elderly loved one feel loved.

Companionship for seniors is incredibly important. It promotes better mental health, better physical health, creates new routines, and really, just makes life better. Exercise has been proven to do the same. Our caregivers can assist your loved ones in both of these areas and help and encourage them to thrive.

What Social Companionship & Encouragement Services Look Like with R&R Care Solutions:

  • Sharing Stories

One of the things we love most about our line of work is taking the time to truly listen to our clients which facilitates mental stimulation and a great sense of joy in sharing memories of the past. Often our Seniors have some form of short-term memory loss and this can bring fear and anxiety. When you focus with them on the past and the memories that are solidified in their minds it can bring a great sense of peace to their day.

  • Exercising & Taking Walks

We encourage all of our clients to maintain a walking or exercise routine that’s appropriate for their lifestyle. Supporting your loved one, both physically and mentally in daily movement, is something we are deeply committed to because we see the immense difference in our Seniors who move and exercise.

  • Playing Games

Encouraging mental stimulation and challenges has great benefits for our Seniors. Research shows that games can help to improve memory and enhance cognitive skills. Our caregivers will take the time to find those activities that your loved one is excited to participate in so that they will, on a daily basis, receive the mental benefit of this type of engagement.

Lovingly challenging our seniors to do more and find more joy.

Almost everyone we care for is capable of some physical movement. We have wonderful community partners that we can call on in the Physical Therapy realm that come in and assist us in creating a plan for your loved one to grow safely in physical movement and strength in order to truly thrive.
